Fred Mitchell Award recognizes 43 kickers for October 2022 performances
The Fred Mitchell Award recognizes 43 place-kickers for their excellence on the football field and for continued community service throughout the year. It is a pleasure to recognize kickers that were nominated by their schools or are at the top of their division for terrific performances through November 5, 2022.
Final nominations for the 2022 season will be due after any regular season contests as of November 20, 2022. As always, we appreciate your efforts and participation in celebrating your kickers. The selection committee looks forward to reviewing your nominations. Please be sure to include community service and other philanthropic efforts by your kickers.
The recipient of the Fred Mitchell Award will be announced in mid-December based on performance on the football field and in the community.
The breakdown of the 43 place-kickers is as follows:
- Collegiate Division – 15 FCS, 14 Division II, 10 Division III, 2 NAIA, and 2 NJCAA
- State – The place-kickers play at schools located in 24 different states
- Year – 2 Graduate Students, 8 Seniors, 14 Juniors, 16 Sophomores, and 3 Freshman
