Fred Mitchell Award recognizes September 2018 performances

The Fred Mitchell Award recognizes 22 place-kickers for their excellence on the football field for the month of September, 2018 season and for continued community service during their off-season. There have been some outstanding performances during the first month of the season.  We look forward to celebrating the following kickers, and others, in the coming months.

The recipient of the Fred Mitchell Award will be announced in mid-December based on performance on the football field and in the community. The season’s watch lists and updates may also be found on Facebook (http://facebook.com/fredmitchellaward), and on Twitter at @kickeruww.

The breakdown of the 22 place-kickers is as follows:

  • Collegiate Division – 7 FCS, 7 Division II, 7 Division III, and 1 NAIA
  • State – the place-kickers play at schools located in 15 different states (CA, CT, IA, IL, IN, MA (3), MN (2), NC (2), NE, NH, NY (2), PA, TN, TX (2), and WI (2)).
  • Year – 8 Seniors, 12 Juniors, and 2 Sophomores
