Fred Mitchell Award announces final 2017 watch list

The Fred Mitchell Award recognizes 13 place-kickers for their excellence on the football field during the 2017 season and for continued community service during the year. Without exception, we are proud to celebrate the kickers listed herein. Fred Mitchell shared, “Our 2017 award finalists once again represent some of the finest college kickers in America, as well as some of the most conscientious and community-minded individuals.”

The recipient of the Fred Mitchell Award will be announced Dec. 11, 2017, based on performance on the football field and in the community.

The breakdown of the 13 place-kickers is as follows:

Collegiate Division – 6 FCS, 6 Division II, and 1 Division III
State – the place-kickers play at schools located in 8 different states (CA (2), IN, LA (2), MA (2), MI (2), MN, PA, and TX (2))
Year – 4 Seniors, 6 Juniors, and 3 Sophomores
